Go Geese Go was launched in the summer of 2000. We achieve goose free properties exclusively through the use of highly trained Border Collies. A typical service agreement includes two visits per day, six days a week. Our dogs have a minimum of 2 years herding training and are purchased from one of the top trainers in the United States. When we arrive on your property, the geese will quickly move to your pond for perceived safety. The dogs will then go into the water and continue the herding process until the geese fly off. The geese are educated that there are no safe areas on your property. The geese will continuely test to see if the dogs are still around. Unfortunately your property will always be attractive to geese so the service has to be maintained as long as you wish to keep them off your property.
To keep our dogs sharp, training continues year round at our kennels. Because so many of our accounts are around traffic, it is important that the dogs follow all commands for obedience as well as herding. They love to work and we love to work them. They are wonderful animals!
Our Philosophy
Our goal is to make your property as goose free as possible. We will evict your "resident" geese and run off any "transient" birds that stop by. Although we cannot guarantee that you will never see another goose, we will do our best to make it that way! We believe that our customers are our greatest asset and we are dedicated to serving your needs.
Who Are Our Clients
We now service 60 properties in and around the Columbus area. Our clients include corporate headquarters, prestigious property management firms, hospitals, schools, landscape companies, condominium associations and individual homeowners.
In 2009, Go Geese Go provided Expert Witness testimony in a injury case involving a goose attack. A property owner may be held liable if a known dangerous condition (i.e. a nesting goose) is not addressed.
